Experimental data of the ice resistance test using the flexural ship model and the synthetic ice floes

This dataset includes the ice resistance and the ship longitudinal deformation under the ice force obtained from the laboratory scaled ice resistance test. The ship model test used synthetic ice, and conducted in the towing tank in Osaka University. Disk-shaped polypropylene (PP) whose density is same as those of the sea ice was used as the ice floes. The elastic ship model with aluminum backbone was newly made. The ship resistance and the ship longitudinal deformation ware measured when the ship advanced in the pack ice floes and the regular wave.
