Politically motivated violent offenses in Germany 2001-2023, by type

This statistic shows the development of the number of politically motivated violent offences in Germany from 2001 to 2020, by type. In 2020, 1,526 cases of left-wing crime were recorded, compared to 1,052 the previous year. Meanwhile, also in 2020, 1,092 cases of right-wing violence occured, up from 986 the previous year. 591 violent offences recorded in 2020 were not classifiable.
