FMRP facilitates the nuclear export of N6-methyladenosine-containing mRNAs

FMRP facilitates the nuclear export of N6-methyladenosine-containing mRNAs. Overall design: We used PAR-CLIP followed by m6A-IP to determine direct binding sites of FMRP. We used m6A-seq to determine methylated transcripts in cortices of WT and Fmr1KO mice. We used RNAseq to determine abundance of transcripts in cytoplasmic and nuclear portions of cortices of WT and Fmr1KO mice. HEK293T cells were treated with control and FMR1 siRNAs for 48 hours, and collected for RNA-seq.
