Livelihood Diversifications, Food Security, and Household Resilience to Food Insecurity: the case of Weaving-Based Livelihood System in Chencha District, Southern Ethiopia.

This project contains the following underlying data:There were nineteen data files, of which eight were in Excel and eight in STATA (*.dta) data formats; the remaining one data file was in SPSS data formats. The first sixteen data files, i.e., eight in Microsoft Excel and eight in STATA formats were used to determine the eight dimensions of household resilience to food insecurity index. These are the data files, namely: access to agricultural assets (AA), access to basic services (ABS), adaptive capacity (AC), access to agricultural technology and practices (ATP), income and food access (IFA), access to non-agricultural assets (NAA), access to social safety nets or social capital (SSN), and stability (S) to external shocks and stress. Whereas the remaining data file in SPSS format refers to demographic and livelihood strategy-related data of sample households. Besides this, there are two word data files containing extended data, which are transcripts from focus group discussions (FGDs) and key informant interviews (KIIs), associated data collection tools, and supplementary information for multi-Collinearity test results. Finally, a PDF file of an informed consent or ethical clearance letter from the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of Addis Ababa University College of Development Studies has been stored.
