Stock of homes; average surface area; house type, year class, region

This table provides information on the characteristics of the stock of homes on 1 January. The table shows the starting position on 1 January and the average area. These are further broken down by year class, housing type, rural areas, provinces, COROP areas and municipalities. The data comes from the Basic Registration Addresses and Buildings (BAG). The stock of properties includes all accommodation objects with a residential function at the reference date and a status ‘in use (not measured)’, ‘in use’, ‘out of use’ or ‘renovation’. Data available from: 2012 Status of the figures: The figures until 1 January 2021 are final. Changes as of 29 April 2022: The preliminary figures for 2022 have been added. When are new figures coming? The new provisional figures will be published approximately 3 months after the start of the reporting year. Final figures shall be issued approximately 9 months after the start of the reporting year.
