The Forsa Bus is conducted by the polling institute forsa. As part of the representative survey, around 500 people eligible to vote are interviewed daily by telephone in order to survey current attitudes of the population on various political and social topics. At GESIS, the years from 1991 onwards are available as an annual cumulation. The data sets include parts from multi-topic surveys, whereby one focus of the collection is the query of political preference, both for candidates and parties, as well as voting behaviour in past elections.<br>Chancellor preference for Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer or Olaf Scholz, for Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer or Robert Habeck, for Olaf Scholz or Robert Habeck, for Friedrich Merz or Robert Habeck, for Friedrich Merz or Annalena Baerbock resp. for Markus Söder, Olaf Scholz or Robert Habeck; economic expectations for Germany; most competent party to solve the problems in the Federal Republic; voting behaviour in the last federal election and state election; party preference at federal and state level (Sunday question).
Demography: sex; age (year of birth); marital status; living with a partner; employment; group membership if not employed; education; occupational status and characteristics; household size; number of children in household under 18; net household income; religious denomination; trade union member in household.
Additionally coded were: Federal state; survey area west/east; interview date (year, month, day); day of the week of the interview; survey period (week); sample: sample frame (landline, mobile); weighting factors.
