Data package for: Phylogenetic diversity of stream fishes reflects habitat variation, while functional diversity responds to human impacts

This dataset contains the environmental, functional, phylogenetic, and community data used in the article “Phylogenetic diversity of stream fishes reflects habitat variation, while functional diversity responds to human impacts”. The files include (i) site-by-species abundance matrices for Amazonian headwater streams, (ii) geographic coordinates and basin identity for each site, (iii) environmental variables related to habitat structure and riparian land-use, (iv) ecomorphological traits for all fish species, and (v) the phylogenetic tree used to derive phylogenetic diversity metrics. A detailed README and data dictionary accompany the dataset, describing file structure, variable definitions, units, and methodological notes. These data allow readers to reproduce functional and phylogenetic diversity metrics, as well as other analyses described in the manuscript, and is released under a CC BY 4.0 license.
