Enriched metagenome sequencing for CARPDM probe set validation

Genes associated with antimicrobial resistance (AMR) make up only a small fraction of DNA in any sample but have an outsized impact on patient outcomes. To enable metagenomic surveillance and exploration of AMR genes, we have developed CARPDM, a tool to generate AMR-specific probesets for hybridization-based enrichment based on the comprehensive antibiotic resistance database (CARD).
