Birth control; birth control method and age of women, 1993-2013

This table contains figures on birth control in the Netherlands by birth method and age (exact) of women. The figures in this publication are based on the Researches Family formation (OG) 1993, 1998, 2003, 2008 and 2013. For the 1993 Family Formation Research, the following applies: 18 to 43 years old. For the 1998 Family Formation Research, the following applies: 18 to 50 years. For the 2003 Family Formation Research, the following applies: 18 to 45 years old. For the 2008 Family Formation Research, the following applies: 18 to 45 years old. For the 2013 Family Formation Research, the following applies: 18 to 45 years old. The percentages in the table should be interpreted with caution. Especially when it comes to relatively small numbers of respondents. When interpreting the sampling rates, account should be taken of the fact that the results do not have to be an exact reflection of the population from which the sample was drawn. A number of causes such as non-response and accidental sampling errors are the cause of this. This means that there are margins around the sample rates. Data available from 1993 to 2013.
