Phase 3 ELLI Data

A full-scale three-story mass-timber test building structure was subject to quasi-static cyclic loading following a modified CUREE loading protocol for two experimental events each occurring over two days. Three (3) load cell (LC) sensors measured applied forces and were attached to actuators that maintained a triangular loading distribution using displacement control at the roof and force control at the other stories. Displacements were measured using 47 linear variable differential transformer (LVDT) sensors, three (3) internal actuator LVDT sensors, and nine (9) string potentiometer (SP) sensors attached to components in the test structure. Strains were measured in 32 locations of various steel components in the test building structure. Each sensor was connected to one of three data acquisition (DAQ) units, which were connected to a computer that recorded the measured data. These data were then transferred to a cloud server for access and backup of the data. The measured data were analyzed and post-processed using various tools.
