ORFG Open Scholarship Policy Development Program

In 2021, the Open Research Funders Group (ORFG) launched the Open Access Funder Cohort Program. The program was designed to recruit a small number of champions from different philanthropies (both ORFG members and beyond) and empower them to advance open access within their organizations. Building on the success of this first pilot, the ORFG ran a second cycle in 2022, broadening the program to include a range of open scholarship practices beyond open access, and renaming the program to reflect this change. Here are the curriculum and educational materials developed for the first and second cycles of the program. All materials are openly licensed for reuse.
