City of Duisburg: Commercial area assessment

Between winter 2008 and summer 2009, the commercial areas (60 demarcated areas) were described and evaluated on the basis of a checklist. The current situation was taken into account, a classification in the area types, strengths and weaknesses were identified and action measures were mentioned. As a result, the urban planning needs and fields of action were defined. In addition, areas with development and conversion potential have been designated.
