Monodigestion and anaerobic codigestion of elephant grass

This study evaluated the anaerobic co-digestion (ACoD) of swine manure and BRS Capiacu elephant grass in a CSTR reactor, aiming to improve biogas production and quality. ACoD outperformed the mono-digestion of elephant grass, increasing methane productivity. The combination of substrates proved to be an efficient and stable strategy for renewable energy generation and better utilization of waste.
