Temperature dependence of iron oxidation by Leptospirillum ferriphilum, Ferroplasma acidiphilum, and Acidithiobacillus ferriphilum.

This dataset was collected between January and August 2025 at the Microbiology Laboratory of TU Bergakademie Freiberg. It suports an investigation about the ability of the acidophilic microorganisms Leptospirillum ferriphilum, Ferroplasma acidphilum, and Acidithiobacillus ferrivorans to perform iron oxidation across a broad temperature range. The experimental data were generated via an OxiTopC system and a fixed-bed column reactor.
