EcoPlate data

OD measurements of single carbon source consumption in BIOLOG EcoPlates inoculated with water from Lake Zurich. We provide separate files for each sampling (S1/S2/S3 for three sampling campaigns from September to November 2021). We distinguish between syringe samples (collected in syringes arranged at horizontal cm distances) and mixed samples (collected from homogenized 5 litres of lake water). The complete sample volumes of 9 mL lake were distributed over one EcoPlate.General file explanations: Syringe sampling was repeated 3 times within each sampling, the repetitions are recorded by "run" (1/2/3) within the files. For mixed samples "run" is specified as "MIX". "SyringeID" (1-10) refers to the 10 separate syringe or mixed samples collected within each run. Each sample distributed over one EcoPlate has an individual "plate" ID composed of the run and syringeID.Ecoplate_data files: OD595 = originally recorded OD. ODcorrected = OD595 after subtracting t0 values. binary = positive (1) or negative (0) carbon source consumption with cutoff value of OD &gt; 0.25. These files also provide an overview of which single carbon sources are provided in the EcoPlates.SR_data files: Substrate richness (SR) for each plate and sampling shows how many substrates (out of the 31 single carbon sources + control well) were consumed.<br>
