AleutBio 2022_Lebensspuren area data

Lebensspuren data genrated by the random selection of 50 frames per station of the AleutBio 2022 expedition (6 deep-sea stations analyzed; 4299-5327m water depth). Stations 4, 8, and 12 were located on the Northern Aleutian Trench slope, while stations 6, 10 and 14 were located on the Southern Aleutian Trench slope. In these 300 frames, the area of 4,291 lebensspuren was measured and the lebensspuren were classified. Environmental variables: content of grain fractions (%Sand, %Silt,%Clay), total organic carbon in the sediment (%), chlorophyll-a concentrations (Chl.-a, ng/mL), and porosity (%) were obtained from the 0-1cm depth fraction of the Multiple Corer (MUC) (Sindlev et al., 2025).
