Suspects up to 25 years old; crime group, residential region
收藏资源简介:
The table contains data on young people up to 25 years of age who have been registered or apprehended as a suspect of a crime, distinguished by crime group and region of residence. The table shows the number of suspects of crime in absolute and relative figures. The relative figure is calculated per 10,000 persons of the selected population. Persons who do not appear in the Basic Persons Registration (BRP) often lack personal data. These people are included in the absolute figures, but not in the relative. Because the number of suspects per type of crime is presented per reporting year, the number of suspects per type of crime is combined to more than the total number of unique suspects. A person who has been registered or arrested more than once within a reporting year is counted only once in the total number of suspects. In addition, for each offence he is suspected of being counted, he is counted once in the relevant main group of offences. For example: a suspect of 10 burglaries and 2 violent offences is counted once in Total number of suspects, 1 time in Offenses and 1 in Violence Crimes. In order to show how young people in the Netherlands are doing, the National Youth Monitor describes more than 70 topics in addition to this topic. The topics are called indicators. Data on arrested suspects have been available from 2000 onwards. On registered suspects, regional data are available from 2010 onwards and for the Netherlands as of 2005. Status of the figures: For registered suspects, the figures until 2020 are provisional, for 2021 and for 2021. Preliminary figures indicate an underestimation of the final number of suspects. The provisional number of suspects in the most recent year is a few percent lower than the final number. For detained suspects, the figures are final until 2014; more current figures are no longer available. Amendments as at 31 March 2023: Figures on the number of registered suspects of the year 2022 have been added. The figures on the number of registered suspects for the years 2020 and 2021 have been adjusted by updated information. When are new figures coming? New figures on registered suspects will be available in the first quarter of 2024. More up-to-date figures on arrested suspects are no longer available.
