This dataset contains ultra-high-speed microscopy videos capturing the primary atomization and droplet-baffle impaction of a nebulizer under steady-state conditions. The images are recorded using a shadowgraphy setup consisting of a Kirana 5M camera and a SILUX640 laser (640 nm, 20 ns pulse duration) to visualize the liquid structures. All videos were recorded at a rate of 5,000,000 frames per second (5 Mfps). Each recording is limited to 180 frames, yielding a total capture duration of 36 microseconds per video. The dataset includes recordings from two optical configurations: an overview setup with a spatial resolution of 4.3 µm/pixel (3.97 x 3.30 mm FOV), and a high-resolution setup with a spatial resolution of 1.0 µm/pixel (0.92 x 0.77 mm FOV). The different positions with regard to the baffle position and a more detailed description of the setup can be found in the Readme file.
