Indian Masked Faces in the Wild (IMFW)

The Indian Masked Faces in the Wild (IMFW) dataset was developed by researchers from the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur and IIIT-Delhi. It comprises 744 images across 200 subjects, with variations in pose, illumination, resolution and mask types. The dataset includes diverse content, such as images of celebrities, social media users and members of the general public, along with various mask types including medical masks, colored masks, N95 masks and printed masks. During its development, all images were captured in unconstrained real-world environments to simulate real-world diversity. This dataset is primarily intended to address face recognition challenges caused by mask wearing in the Indian cultural context, especially in public places and workplaces.
