Cyclone Gabrielle struck the Hawke’s Bay region on the 13th and 14th of February 2023. One of its devastating impacts was the erosion of sediment from catchments that were deposited on valley floors and flood plains. HBRC collected sub-regional reconnaissance aerial imagery to assess the impacts of Cyclone Gabrielle between 19th and 21st February at 10 cm resolution (see the LINZ Data Service for the aerials - https://data.linz.govt.nz/layer/112726-hawkes-bay-010m-cyclone-gabrielle-aerial-photos-2023/).
