Preferences for viewing selected live sports in the U.S. 2023, by platform type

As of March 2023, the preferred method for watching live sports among Americans was still traditional broadcast television. A survey revealed that 57 percent of respondents chose to view baseball and basketball games via cable, satellite, or antenna services. In comparison, only 43 percent of respondents opted for various streaming apps to watch these sports.
