Species diversity — Videoobserved coral bottom types

The dataset shows observations of different coral bottom types (Live Lophelia, coral remains and Dead Lophelia) that have been recorded in fields during video survey of the seabed. Coral remains are small shellfish fragments (< 20 cm) of dead Lophelia corals, while Dead Lophelia are larger (> 20 cm) fragments of dead coral shells. Living Lophelia are colonies of living Lophelia, of varying sizes. Together with the seabed topography, these observations give an indication of the extent of the coral reefs locally. The dataset also shows video transect where none of these coral bottom types have been observed.
