Basic document — Development of a circular economy strategy.

In this study, the foundations for the preparation of the Austrian Circular Economy Strategy are prepared. International targets, such as the Paris Climate Agreement, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the European Green Deal and the Circular Economy Action Plan, as well as national strategies and programmes, provide the framework for this strategy. On the basis of these guidelines, the thematic priorities for the strategy were derived and the most effective levers and scope for action for Austria along the value chain were identified.These basics formed the basis for a transparent stakeholder process in which concrete measures for the transformation to a circular economy were developed.
