Clinical Characteristics of Tracheobronchial Nontuberculous Mycobacterial Infection in South China: A Multicentre Retrospective Study

This dataset contains de-identified clinical, laboratory, and radiological data from a retrospective cohort study of patients with non-tuberculosis mycobacterial (NTM) infections. DATA CONTENTS: - clinical_data.csv: De-identified patient data including demographics, symptoms, laboratory findings, microbiological results, and chest CT features - data_dictionary_EN.xlsx: Complete variable definitions in English - data_dictionary_CN.xlsx: Variable definitions in Chinese (for reference) - codebook.xlsx: Variable coding schemes and value mappings - deidentification_log.txt: Documentation of de-identification procedures - README.txt: Overview and usage instructions DE-IDENTIFICATION: All data were de-identified according to HIPAA Safe Harbor standards prior to release. Direct identifiers (names, medical record numbers, exact dates of birth, and calendar dates) were removed or recoded. Patient IDs were anonymized as sequential codes (P001-P029). Ages were converted to age groups. Free-text fields containing location or provider identifiers were excluded or cleaned. ETHICS: This study was approved by the Medical Ethics Committee of the Eighth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University Ethics Committee (2025-184-01). Patient informed consent was waived due to the retrospective nature of the study. DATA USE: Researchers are free to use this dataset for academic purposes with appropriate citation.
