The Women's Coordination Unit was established in 1982 and in August 1988 its activities were mainstreamed and Women's Access coordinators redeployed into other TAFE positions. The staff development files relate to issues based workshops and industry seminars conducted by the Unit as part of their TAFE Staff development programme. The subjects covered include "girls in trades"; "women and management"; "Aboriginal women in TAFE"; "needs of women from non-English speaking backgrounds"; and "child care". These files contain some recordings of training sessions on audio-cassettes.
