Administrative units – Baseline, Maritime Borders and North Sea Territorial Zone

Belgium baseline: the low-water mark (0-metre isobath) and ends of the permanent harbour works extending beyond the low-water mark. Maritime borders Belgium: boundary line between the Belgian territorial sea and the Belgian Continental Plat with the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the France-Territorial Zone Belgium: waters from the baseline up to 12 nautical miles (just over 22 kilometres), measured from the low-water mark. In this area, Belgium itself determines the laws and applies the jurisprudence. Reference information: – All data is referred horizontally in ETRS89/WGS84.- Basic line is determined on the basis of surveys from February to October 2014 in relation to LAT.
