Polymeric micelles for the delivery of neuroprotective drugs to the retina

The aim of the proposal is to investigate the structural features of polymeric micelles made of 8 novel different hydrophilic derivatives of vitamin E, to be used as nanocarriers for the delivery of neuroprotective drugs to the retina. Elucidation of the structure of the micelles will help to explain their relevant pharmaceutical properties, such as drug loading capacity and interaction with biobarriers.
