Turbidity, SOLAR RADIATION - ATMOSPHERIC and other data from XIANG YANG HONG 05 in the TOGA Area - Pacific from 1992-11-18 to 1993-02-22 (NODC Accession 9500061)

The Conductivity, Temperature and Depth (CTD) and Surface Layer CTD data were collected as part of Tropical Ocean Global Atmosphere. Data was collected from three legs Ship R/V Xiang Yang Hong #5. The data was collected over a period spanning from November 3, 1992 to February 22, 1993. CTD data was submitted by Xu Bingrong of Second Institute of Oceanography, Zhejiang Province, China. A catamaran towed alongside the R/V Xiang Yang Hong #5 measured temperature and salinity at a depth of 1m, using a SBE-19 CTD (Seabird Electronics Inc.) at a sampling rate of 30 sec. Laboratory calibration of sensors after the COARE field phase was done at the Institute of Ocean Technology, SOA China. 66 files of Temperature and salinity at depth of 1m, 30s resolution about 1.5 MB of data on floppy disk was transferred to NODC.
