The objective is to capture and visualize the temporal variations of a Local Area Network (LAN) when connected to the Internet. To achieve this goal, ping response times are collected at 10-second intervals from a series of IoT-enabled data collection devices deployed on the network. Data acquisition is performed over two types of network links: 2.4 GHz wireless and 100 Mbps Ethernet. The measurements record the latency from these devices to both the local Internet router and the first-hop server on the public Internet.
