Polish Publisher List 2019-2021

The file contains data on the publishers included in the Polish Publisher List. Used by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education in Poland for performance-based research funding, the PPL categorizes publishers into two levels: Level 1, and Level 2. The PPL was introduced in 2019. The initial version of the PPL, launched in January 2019, included 500 publishers at Level 1 and thirty-six publishers at Level 2. After 2019, the ministry expanded the PPL by adding new publishers at Level 1. Since 2021, there have been 779 publishers at Level 1; Level 2 has remained unchanged. Columns description: ID – publisher’s unique id Publisher – name of the publisher 2021, 2020, 2019 – NA in these columns indicate that the publisher was not included in the PPL in a given year (2019, 2020, or 2021, as of 31st of December of that year); otherwise, the publisher was included Level – information into which level of the PPL the publisher was included.
