资源简介:
Data on lab germination and field survival and reproduction of Rumex conglomeratus from both lowland and upland populations in the introduced range in New Zealand. Seeds were collected from natural populations in the middle of the range and at the high elevation range edge and grown in a reciprocal transplant common garden experiment at mid-range, range edge and beyond range sites. We measured germination of seeds from all populations under lab conditions and measured emergence, survival, biomass and reproduction in individual plants from the field experiment.Data include the rate of germination in the lab (Lab Germination.csv) and data from the field experiment (Common Garden Data.csv). Field experiment data include number of emergents, survival of each plant, final dry weight if the plant survived, and whether the plant reproduced during the experiment. Note that the proportion emerged in the field experiment can be calculated by counting the number of individuals per pot in the field data set and dividing by 36, which is the number of seeds originally planted. Metadata, which describes the content of each column in the datasets, can be found in Elevation Range Limits Data Metadata.csv.These data are associated with the following manuscript:Bufford, JL & Hulme, PE. 2023.
