Transcriptomic Profiling of Naegleria fowleri Infection in Mice

This project explores the mechanisms of infection by the "brain-eating amoeba," Naegleria fowleri, in a mouse model using transcriptomic profiling. We examine protozoan and host gene expression to identify key factors in N. fowleri pathogenicity and the host immune response. Understanding these interactions is crucial for developing potential therapeutic strategies and improving our knowledge of this lethal pathogen.
