Gene model annotations for Onthophagus binodis genome assemblies.

These annotation data are the results of a genome sequencing project for the humpbacked dung beetle, Onthophagus binodis. This project independently sequenced and assembled male (obm) and female (obf) chromosome-level genome assemblies for this species. Within this dataset are: 1) nucleotide-level gene models, 2) protein-level gene models, and 3) GTF files describing the genomic location of each gene feature for each sex. Additionally, we present a "hybrid" assembly that includes the best-assembled scaffolds from each sex to represent the reference genome for this species, along with associated annotations (obh). Sex-specific genome assemblies and sequencing data are available on NCBI under the BioProject identifiers: PRJNA1308620 and PRJNA1308621 .
