The primary data source for the creation and integration of data contained in Mycodiversity DataBse (MDDB) is available on Zenodo, DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.10492047, with the dataset title “Methods for making fungal biodiversity data accessible: Linking open publications to public sequence archive sources for the MycoDiversity DataBase User Interface (MDDB-UI).”, version 0.1.0.The dataset provides a definition of the annotation to associate the elements made available for MDDB User Interface. These relations are used for the sql-query construction for retrieving information based on fungal communities obtained from the public scientific domain. The dataset collection proves the reliability of the data based on the data provenance obtained from NCBI, ENA, SRA and Biosample dbs and the reliable standard names Geonames, Unite and ENVO.
