Exosome microRNA sequencing from lung cancer cell

Exosomes, extracellular vesicles with diameter ranging from 50 to 200 nm,encapsulate various molecules such as lipids, proteins, and microRNAs. Increasing evidence indicates that cells communicate via the secretion and delivery of microRNAs packed into exosomes released by tumors, which may potentially facilitate tumor growth, metastasis, invasion and drug resistance. Due to exosome microRNAs are widespread in body fluids and protected from degradation by exosomes, they may represent a new type of non-invasive biomarkers for cancer. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the potential role of exosome microRNAs in lung cancer.
