Exploring the impact of rumen microbiome on cattle carcass traits

Rumen microbes are essential for ruminants to transform human-indigestible plant biomass into human-digestible food such as milk and meat. Here, we conducted this study to investigate the relationship between rumen microbiome and carcass traits of beef cattle using 16s rRNA gene amplicon (n = 55) and shotgun metagenomic sequencing (n = 37).
