National Cohort Research Education: School data Primary Education (01-09-2010-01-09-2018)

National Cohort Research Education (NCO) The NCO microdata files were compiled by the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) for the National Cohort Research Education (NCO). The NCO has been initiated and is funded by the National Educational Research Agency (NRO). For these files, existing register data from the social-statistical files (SSB) of CBS and existing educational records of the Education Basic Register (BRON) of the Education Implementation Service (DUO) have been combined. The year in the file name refers to the relevant school year YYYY/YYYY+ 1. More information on how to access the data: > https://www.cbs.nl/nl-nl/onze-diensten/maatwerk-en-microdata/microdata-zelf-onderzoek-doen ### Methodology The NCOBRINPO files contain the school data of pupils who appear in at least one of the primary education (PO) backbone files. On the basis of the link key (RINPERSOON and RINPERSOONS), the school data of pupils in (special) primary education can be linked to these PO backbone files. The school data is included in the files at person level and can be aggregated by the researcher himself at BRIN(VEST) level if desired. ### Population The NCOBRINPO files contain the school data of all pupils in (special) primary education at person level. The NCOBRINPODEF files contain definitive school data, NCOBRINPOVRL files contain preliminary school data. If a pupil started in primary education in year JJJ, his/her po school data will also be available from that year.
