Environmental Ordinance, Restrictions of Livestock Farming

The Environmental Regulation designates areas with the designation ‘Limitation of livestock farming’. For the purpose of delimiting these areas, they are linked to the boundaries of the extensification area established under the Reconstruction Act. In the designated areas (extensive) restrictions apply to all livestock farms. The purpose of the designation is to prevent further intensification due to developments in livestock farming in the designated areas. An exception shall be made for land-based livestock holdings within the area; the conditions laid down are the same for all livestock farms.
