Electroacupuncture in a CS/LPS-induced COPD rat model: 16S rRNA sequencing of BALF and fecal microbiota

This study investigates whether electroacupuncture modulates the gut lung axis in a cigarette smoke (CS) and lipopolysaccharide (LPS) induced COPD rat model. The dataset contains 16S rRNA gene sequencing profiles generated from bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) and fecal samples collected from control, COPD, electroacupuncture treated, and sham acupuncture groups. These data support analyses of microbiota composition and potential associations with airway remodeling related phenotypes, including inflammation and epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT).
