Consumption volume of scrap aluminum in India FY 2017-2019

The consumption volume of scrap aluminum in India was around 1.35 million metric tons in fiscal year 2019. Aluminum scrap has an import duty of just 2.5 percent across the country. It was used primarily by the auto sector, but now has been diverted to be used for manufacturing other products as well.
