De-novo assemblies of 869 sequencing runs that contained reads matching reference sequences for the mobilized colistin resistance (mcr) genes, specifically mcr-1 to mcr-9. These assemblies were then used to study the genomic background of the mcr genes to investigate where and when they have been mobilized across different contexts.
