This dataset provides insights into spatial accessibility to healthcare and education services across Zambia. It has been created using free and open tools such as openrouteservice and open data sources, primarily OpenStreetMap (OSM). To assess accessibility to education and healthcare, it uses travel-time isochrones—polygons representing areas reachable within a given time or distance by car—overlaid with WorldPop population data (100m-resolution estimates). This allows calculation of population within time intervals (10-120 minutes) from hospital services and distance intervals (5-50 km) from schools. The unit of analysis is defined by geoboundaries country borders, with results summarized at finer administrative levels (ADM 1–4) where available. The dataset includes fields such as region/country name, ISO3 country code, unique identifier for administrative units, administrative level, service category (education, hospitals or primary_healthcare), range type (distance or time), range value (in meters or seconds), total population within specified range, school-age population count and proportions, etc.
