Community and public health medicine in Norway - Telephone interviews 2001-2002

Telephone Interviews with the mayor, city manager, public health practicioner and general practitioner in respectively 90 and 60 municipalities (2001 and 2002), a total of 360 and 240 people.

The objective of this study was to describe and explore the local public health's work and framework over time, in relation to workload, work content and mobility in the labor market. Furthermore, how were primary physicians' tasks prioritized before and after implementation of the GP scheme, with special emphasis on the compound preventive health care in the municipalities.
