DK-model Climate input GEUS

DK-Model climate input data as used with the DK-Model in its versions since 2023. Variables included: corrected precipitation, temperature and reference evapotranspiration in 10 km and 20 km resolution. Raw data was downloaded from DMI’s Frie Data API https://www.dmi.dk/frie-data and is subject to the Creative Commons license CC BY. If data is used as input in further data processing, DMI must be stated as the source: \"Based on data from DMI and subsequently processed\". The precipitation data is bias-corrected: For the period 1989-2010 the precipitation correction is the DMI correction, and for the period 2011-2025 an alternative correction by GEUS is applied to minimize the discontinuity issues following a raingauge network and correction model change. This version of the precipitation data is recommended for hydrological and climatological analysis and modelling across the period 1989-2025. Reference evapotranspiration is calculated with the Makkink formula, and corrected with a factor of 0.95 west of the Storebælt. The dataset contains daily climate input data in .dfs2 and .nc file format, for the period 1/1/1989 - 31/12/2025. Files are separate for Denmark without Bornholm (\"DK_\") and Bornholm (\"BH_\"). All files are provided covering the same 10 km grid; however evapotranspiration and temperature data are effectively 20 km resolution. Timestep is 6 hours in all files, despite being daily data, to allow incorporation of a change in the definition of the start of the day (old meteorological day to local day).
