资源简介:
These files include (1) raw data on mean body mass, standard deviation in body mass, and sample size for adult males as well as adult females for 429 species of mammals, a subset of the columns in the dataset in Tombak and Hex (2024); (2) a dataset comprised of 100 plausible phylogenetic trees that include these mammal species, generated from Upham et al. (2019); (3) the R script for the analysis and visualizations produced using these data for the paper associated with this Dataverse entry; and (4) a README file. Tombak, K. J. and S. B. S. W. Hex. 2024. Data from: New estimates indicate that males are not larger than females in most mammal species [Dataset]. Dryad. DOI: 10.5061/dryad.280gb5mx0 Upham, N. S., J. A. Esselstyn, and W. Jetz. 2019. Inferring the mammal tree: species-level sets of phylogenies for questions in ecology, evolution, and conservation. PLoS Biology 17:1–44.
