U.S. statewide executive office positions held by women 2024, by position

As of the mid-2024, more women held the position of Lieutenant Governor than any other level of state executive office. There are currently 45 out of 50 states in which the position of Lieutenant Governor exists and 22 of them are women. Additionally, 12 out of 50 Governors in the U.S. were women in 2024.
