Consumer prices: NIC index for spending groups from 2005 to 2010

The dataset describes the monthly evolution of the national community-wide consumer price index (NIC), the indicator used for the measure of inflation, by expenditure group. The source of the data is the monthly ISTAT Consumer Price Survey. The basis of the indexes is 1998=100. The reference universe is the entire population present in the territory and the set of all goods and services purchased by households with an actual market price. The classification of products adopted for consumer price indices is based on COICOP (Classification of Individual Consumption by Purpose): divisions, groups, classes and subclasses.
