Bacillus sp. produces a wide range of secondary metabolites, hydrolytic enzymes and volatile organic compounds (VOC) which can be used as antibacterial or antifungal. Bacillus sp. have been used as a biocontrol agent against soil-borne pathogens. In current study, a new species of Bacillus was identified and its genome was explore for putative genes that are involved in antifungal and antibacterial activities.
