We examined the evolutionary history of 34 marine-fish taxa endemic to the subtropical islands of Lord Howe, Norfolk, and Rangitāhua (the Kermadec Islands) in the Southwest Pacific using multi-locus data from open-access repositories and new generated sequences. Most taxa are neoendemics, highlighting the role of these peripheral islands of the Pacific in generating new biodiversity. Furthermore, we found that the majority of endemic lineages have a geographic affinity with Australian taxa, followed by East Pacific fish fauna. Our supporting material includes sequence alignments and tree files (Maximum-Likelihood and Bayesian Inference) that were used for our inferences.
