VPRS 5675 Index to Special Case Files

This series was created to index the Special Case Files (VPRS 892) created by the Education Department and its predecessors and to aid the retrieval of files by officers of the department.In this volume school names and file titles were recorded within alphabetical sections together with the names of the parties involved or the subject of the special case and the file number and the page number in the Register of Special Cases (VPRS 5676) on which the registration details of the file were recorded.This series appears to have been created in about 1882.The first 20 years of files were indexed at this point and all subsequent files were indexed chronologically within alphabetical sections.
